Coronation Street ‘confirms’ who killed Joel as unexpected prison twist follows in 26 pictures

Coronation Street lines up another week full of twists and turns, as confirmed in my new picture gallery, with an unexpected murder confession on the cards and another much-loved resident is left to die.

Dee-Dee Bailey (Channique Sterling-Brown) struggles to hold it together in the wake of Joel Deering’s (Calum Lill) murder and, overwhelmed, she breaks down to dad Ed (Trevor Michael Georges), confessing that that she killed her ex!

The admission knocks Ed for six.

Dee-Dee decides that she’s going to hand herself into the police but, horrified, Ed does his best to and try to talk her out of it. The question is: is Dee-Dee correct? Did she actually kill Joel?

Or can fans expect another twist to this tale?

The jury is still out on that one but let’s hope that Ed can prevent Dee-Dee from reporting what she believes to be the truth, otherwise Joel will have ruined yet another life.

Elsewhere in the Street, emotions run high for Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank), who takes to the booze before heading to the pub for the celebration of Paul Foreman (Peter Ash).

But as everyone gathers at the Rovers to watch Paul’s ashes be released via video link, the screen suddenly goes blank, with Billy having pulled the plug.

With showdowns and shock revelations, Coronation Street is certainly unmissable next week! (Picture: ITV)

The vicar declares the whole thing a farce as he reveals that he made a pass at Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) after Paul’s funeral. Later, he drinks behind the factory in the freezing cold, listening to voice clips of Paul. His phone battery dies soon afterwards and he closes his eyes.

Later, Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) finds him frozen to the core and swiftly dials for an ambulance – but will he be okay?

It’s going to be an emotional week, that’s for sure.

Coronation Street airs these scenes between Monday, November 4 and Friday, November 8 at 8pm on ITV1 or stream from 7am on ITVX.
