Iran is preparing to unleash a ballistic missile attack against Israel, a warning from the White House said on Tuesday.
The US – which is an ally of Israel and has committed to a $8.7 billion military aid package – is actively supporting preparations to defend Israel against threats from Iran.
A direct assault on Israel by Iran would carry ‘severe consequences’ for Iran, the official said.
